Description

This single malt from Wolfburn Distillery has been matured entirely in first-fill bourbon cask and bottled at the natural cask strength of 58% abv. Langskip is the Norse word for longship. Like the famous ships of the Vikings, who inhabited Thurso (where the distillery is located) and once ruled over the North of Scotland, this whisky is light and smooth but very powerful. Nose – Aromas of the fruit blossom melt with dried apples and light oak. In the background you will findtraces of raisins nad dates mixed with rich fruit cake. Palate – Flavours bursts onto the palate, rich and sweet, including maple syrup, dark chocolate, almonds and raisins. Finish – The finish lingers nicely – hints of vanilla gently fade away with warming trace of caramel at the end.
