Description
A Danish rye whisky here from Stauning! It’s produced from malted Danish rye and barley, which is entirely floor-malted at the distillery. After it’s distilled on open-fired stills, the spicy spirit is then matured in new American oak barrels. Nose: Rye bread fresh out of the oven is indeed there, with touches of blackberry, peppery oak and menthol. Palate: More forest berries, oaky vanilla and cocoa lead into oily citrus and more spicy oak. Finish: Caramel wafers, ripe stone fruit and chocolate-coated nuts.
