Description
Oban Little Bay is a Single Malt aged in barrels specially selected for their small size. This increases the interaction between brandy and wood. and results in a softer. richer liquid.
Oban Little Bay is a textured malt. accessible. generous and with a strong taste reminiscent of its original terroir. Suspicions of salt. oil and phenol.
Nose: a rather discreet attack. rapidly gaining in volume and intensity. There is an oily. waxy appearance. with a delicate character and punctuated by notes of ester and ripe fruit of the orchard.
Palate: dense. sweet and slightly menthol. Sweet notes of richly fruity malted bread. with hints of orange zest and cloves. It then evolves to a drier. slightly menthol appearance. with notes of green apple.
Final: syrupy and sweet. then dry with delicate tannins. A dark chocolate character from the West Indies that then evolves on resinous and menthol notes
