Description
The Island of Jura, just off the west coast of Scotland, is home to thousands of deer, and a few people. A perfect place for contemplation, as George Orwell found, when he stayed on the Island (completing his most famous novel; 1984). The whisky is quite sweet, honeyed and creamy and matured in a combination of American White oak ex-Bourbon barrels and ex-Sherry casks with just a touch of peat sneaking through.
Nose: Aromas of fruit, cracked pepper and dark chocolate.
Palate: Flavours of nectarines, ginger and freshly ground coffee.
