Description

This heavily peated whisky has striking similarities to Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Caol Ila, and Ardbeg. The Vintage Malt Whisky Company insists that only one of the Islay distilleries produces Finlaggan ,but there is no way to confirm this because its secrets are tightly locked away. Nose: Slightly medicinal nose with hints of peanut, sticking plasters, manuka honey and digestive biscuits. Palate: Sweet cereals, barley malt, a little peat smoke, TCP, nutmeg and ginger. Finish: A long, sweet finish with toasty oak and peppermint.
