Description
Nose: Fresh sherry notes entwine the more malty and honeyed aspects of Dalwhinnie. Peaty, but – surprisingly – without the note of heather lacking. Spicy and yet grapeed.
Palate: A powerful spicy buzz followed by an impressive accumulation of malt, very distinct and well defined. After a sharp explosion of sweetness, a rich note of grapes rings out in the middle of the mouth.
Final: Full bags of oak. The driest, where vanilla dominates.
