Description
Nose: fine, precise, clean. Malted barley, citrus fruits (lemon), almond paste and cut grass make up a cameo that is both heady and fresh. A fine medicinal and peppery touch accentuates the original character of the nose, which is both mature and still marked by adolescence.
Palate: more creamy than the nose suggests, it begins by deploying spices (grey pepper, cinnamon, ginger). The middle of the mouth lets candied fruit and white flowers unroll freely. Its bitterness is invigorating. It extends slowly over malted barley and fresh fruit (melon, kiwi).
Final: long, tender. This time, it is the spices, specifically ginger and cinnamon, that remember our taste buds. They gradually give way to new fresh fruits (apple, pear), dry (cashew nuts) and heady flowers (lavender, lilac). Retro-olfaction is tenderly malted and roasted. Empty glass oscillates between fresh tobacco and malted barley.
