Description
Nose : moscatel first becomes apparent with a pleasant ripe exotic fruit sweetness. It initially tempers the whisky’s phenolic, peaty, camphor-like character. However pepper, clove and ash inevitably power through.
Palate : faithful to the nose, switching between pineapple, Williams pear, peat and earth. Opens up to candied lemon and gentian root. Notes of freshly peated barley and tobacco provide a pleasant aromatic lift.
Overall : long, dense and particularly smoky. Aniseed leads up to an intensely floral
