Description
This bottling was named for a yellow mini-submarine that was discovered just miles from the distillery, the vessel was clearing mines left from World War Two when a local fisherman discovered it. The nose is clean with a fruity freshness. Notes of honeydew melon and fruit salad with fraise des bois and a little tropical fruit developing with a perfumed disposition. A gentle oak balances things out nicely. The palate is fruity and quite full with excellent integration from the estery fruit and aniseed notes with toffee and Seville marmalade and hints of peppery spice with bruised pear emerging. The finish is quite soft but of good length, very fruity with a gentle oak.
