The Glasgow Distillery Co. isn’t content with just making one style of whisky – oh heavens no! Behold, 1770 Peated! As Anosu can probably figure out from the name, this is a peated expression, made specifically with heather-rich peat from the highlands. After distillation, the whisky was matured in first-fill ex-sherry casks and allowed a finishing period in virgin oak casks (whereas the unpeated 1770 Whisky is aged in bourbon casks before being finished in virgin oak).
