Aberlour offers a new version of its 10-year-old called ‘Forest Reserve’. This edition has undergone an additional ageing stage with a finish in French limousin oak barrels after a maturation in barrels previously containing Bourbon and Sherry. Nose: Fresh oak, with lemon blossom, orange peel and strawberry jam; Palate: Cantaloupe leads into toffee sweetness, praline and plump raisin, with vanilla oak and dried herbs.Finish: Candied ginger and black pepper, with oat and raisin cookies.
