The Buffalo Trace distillery produces two Single Barrel Bourbons – the more classic Blanton’s, characterised by notes of vanilla and ripe fruits; And Eagle Rare, which is more unusual, drier and more complex. Very herbaceous, veering on the medicinal, it develops subtle leather notes.Distilled at Sazerac’s Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, this 10 year old single barrel release is a delicious mix of coconut, crème brûlée and stewed spiced apples and pears.
